"It's Like That" was one of the first songs released from Mariah Carey's tenth studio album, The Emancipation of Mimi (2005). The song peaked at #16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and is considered to be Carey's return to prominence after major failures of her previous works. It was also nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
